UM1 VS. E3C![UM1 vs. E3c]() The UM1 is more balanced but perhaps a bit muddier than the E3c.
The E3c has a stronger mid range and the sound is excellent.
The UM1 is more comfortable but some will find them to be less crystal than the E3c and they probably are. It’s a matter of what you value more and how you like your music. All things being equal the UM1 should have more range to be “extracted” via EQ than the E3c as the E3c is already “enhanced” from the factory.
Isolation is slightly higher on the E3c. Fit and comfort are much better on the UM1.
