Love these headphones

I lost my previous pair of UM1's that I had purchased several years ago and used almost daily. So when it came time to replace them I researched new ones and ended up buying the UM1 again. I'm even happier with this pair as they've make them slightly smaller.

Pros:

great sound quality, good noise isolation

Cons:

the total cord length is too long using the UM1 with the Smart Talk; I have to wrap them up.

Crisp, clear, and comfy

I purchased the UM1 earphones for my wife. She had never been able to wear earbuds before because they hurt her ears after a short time. A fellow trumpet player recommended the UM1 because they are so comfortable. My wife loves them for the comfort factor but was blown away by the sound they produce. Listening to classical recordings she can hear all of the nuances in the music that ordinary earphones don't produce. They also block out most ambient noise, which is great for quiet moments in the music.

Exactly what I was looking for!

These are some amazing headphones. I bought them to use while drumming. I can hear the highs and the lows perfectly. I actually had to turn up the acoustic drums in my monitor so I could hear myself, excellent noise canceling. They also come in very handy when on the road and they cut out the road noise while still being able to answer my phone with the smart talk accessory bundle for the iphone.

Pros:

noise canceling=amazing
in-ear fit=excellent
length of cord=perfect

Cons:

I can't hear other people trying to talk to me when I have them in, if you consider that a con!

UM1 for old ears

I have hearing loss that requires hearing aids. The UM 1s, without hearing aids, bring back frequencies, clarity and detail in music that I've missed for many years. They are efficient and produce plenty of volume from iTouch without additional headphone amp. Triple flange, cut back to double flange earpiece works best for me. You need to experiment to find proper and most comfortable fit. Smart Talk works. Service from Earphone Solutions was excellent.
