I am an experienced and usually satisfied web shopper, but never before have my expectations been so highly exceeded by both product and vendor.

First off - to place an order on a Thursday on my lunch hour, and not to opt for any special handling, and then to receive the product at noon on Saturday TWO DAYS LATER, is a true delight - almost unbelievable (kudos too to our much-maligned postal system.)

Secondly, the UE Pro 5 Extended Bass earplugs are nothing short of spectacular. I listen to a VERY broad range of music, and these are exactly what I've been hunting for for years.

The 'niche marketing' UE does by describing the 5EB for rap/hip hop is far too limiting. What I have immediately found is that the Super.fi 5 EB are PERFECT for people who want decent and accurate bass response FOR ALL MUSIC at lower listening levels, something I guessed would be the case. Everything I throw at them (from Sun Ra to John Prine to Zappa to Miles to Bach) sounds wonderful. I'm especially impressed at how they make 128K sampled files sound rich and full - these phones really are MUSICAL, and perfectly matched to the I-Pod. The 5EB and an 160GB Pod put an amazing listening library in my pocket, something I really appreciate. I'm a business traveler and music lover (it's like air to me - need it to live) who spends 40+ weeks a year on the road, and I have tried everything imaginable, from Ety's to Bose to Grado's to Sony's, nothing has performed as well for my tastes - AND THEY'RE JUST BREAKING IN. Yikes.
