Inside the 4vi is a proprietary balanced armature speaker for a full spectrum audio experience. The proprietary armature is tuned for full and detailed bass while delivering crisp and clean highs. In addition, the noise isolating design reduces ambient interference and sound quality.

The armature is embedded in an anodized aluminum housing that is both small and lightweight and is an aesthetic complement to the iPhone™.

The 4vi can be worn cable down for casual listening or over the ear while exercising. Multiple sets of soft silicone ear tips (small, medium, large and dual flange) assure a comfortable, secure fit.

Accessories include a pocket-ready hard carrying case and a sound level attenuator. The sound level attenuator protects the listener’s hearing from unstable audio sources (e.g. commercial airplane sound systems).

The 1 year warranty provided by UE is not ideal on this product because the cables do fail at a somewhat high percentage. Fit and comfort are good.
