I was looking to buy the Metro.fi 170 or Metro.fi 220 would be a better choice. But that was a bad luck for me dam. I went to buy in the store, and they didn't have 170. So far i bought 150 with 69 dollars and began to experience problems with the right ear bud. I've used it for only 2 days and it was like "enough". It doesn't block sound very well in the right ear, it had low air pressure(you can normally feel it when putting into the ear) than the left ear. The right ear bud had more than 35 percent low sound the left ear bud, including bass which gave allot more headache. I went to replace the headphone and i did, but also realized the complete loss of budget by 10 dollars, because the replacement pack cost 59 dollars and it has been only 4 days since i've bought this. Now i'm experiancing the same problem even with the new one 20 percent difference with right ear bud and low pressure compared to the left ear bud with an increased bass. I tried to upgrade this lowsy piece of *%&$, they regressed because of hygiene Concerns after the earbud touches the ear. The headphone still satisfies me some how with noise isolation but i wouldn't take that as an excuse to such a loss in budget. Useless.
Pros:
Noise isolation
Cons:
Sound balance with the right and left ear bud

Better than Amazon
By bensano from upstate NY on July 11, 2009
I ordered the Merot Fi 100 from Amazon. They failed to deliver and after a month my purchase price was finally refunded. I then ordered the 150 from here for about the same price. Service was quick and product was perfect.

Pros:
These or the Denon are the only game worth playing under $80

I would recommend this item to a friend.

awesome

i wanted to find a headphone that looked cool and carried great sound quality but at a decent price and these headphones gave me all that. i really like how these headphones are shaped and the bass in these headphones are pretty good too.

Pretty good

This earphone is pretty good, and cheap. The bass is very clear.

UE Metro Fi 150s

These earbuds are phenomenal. They are great in a variety of environments - working out, air travel or around the office. Zero buyers remorse!!

Pretty good!

These earphones fit very comfortably and securely. They have great sound but in my opinion a little to much highs, it's almost too loud with some songs. I also think that foam inserts would help block outside noise a little better than the rubber ones that come standard.

Great for the money

I bought these to replace my Koss KSC-75s which I loved. These things sound so good, two of my colleagues ended up buying them as well. For the money, I think you would be hard pressed to find a better set of headphones, and the service and communication from ES was top notch as well.

very nice for the price

I think these are very nice and a good value at this price point. The sound quality is very good.

Very nice, not a good fit for me
By Orrie on January 31, 2009
I bought the UE Metro.Fi 150's to have good sounding isolating earphones to wear at the gym. At the price, the 150's look like a good deal. I have small ear canals, and no ear buds or plug-style earphones have stayed in my ears if I moved around. Reviews of the 150's mentioned that they fit well in a range of ear sizes. They come with the mid-size tips attached. When I tried them, I was very pleased. The sound was very smooth with clearer, stronger bass and clearer treble than my old Koss and Sennheiser 'phones. Mid-range was OK, but not great. I heard low-level details that were barely audible with my other phones. The soundstage was excellent, providing a sense of space and (could I be imagining it?) depth. But as soon as I turned my head, the ear pieces literally popped out of my ears - and I mean popped; they actually jumped about a foot. I switched to the small size tips, and the 'phones now stay in my ears pretty well. However the sound is alternately sort of muffled (too far into my ear canals?) or tinny (not sealing properly?) depending on how I try to fiddle with the fit of the units.
I've tried wear the 150's "upside down" with the wires looped around my ears as well as in the
conventional position. I'm still experimenting, and hope to find a way to enjoy the potential of the 150's They seem nicely made, and although the wires seem thin and delicate, they do not get tangled as readily as other phones' I've tried.
I think my problems do not reflect a general problem with the Metro.Fi 150's, but I suggest that if you have small ear canals and have had problems with earphone fit, these may not be the 'phones for you.

LOts of BASS

sounds excellent........

They're cute
By Olivia on December 10, 2008
I bought them as a gift for someone else but I tried them out ;)
Because I don't have a keen ear for sound quality, I can't really tell the difference between them and my SE210s. I like how they fit very comfortably in my ears and the cable is thinner.
Only comes with one kind of sleeve (in 3 different sizes), and the carrying case looks weak.

works great for me
By Jay on November 24, 2008
I'm quite happy. The earphones fit my ears well, with a bit of experimenting with different size ear adapters. I'm not a major audiophile, but the sound is great to my ears

I bought them as a gift for my mum
By Esther on November 19, 2008
My mom tried my sound isolating earphones and liked them, so I got some for her as a birthday present. She can't really tell the difference between sound qualities (honestly, I can't too well either), but I compared them to my Shure SE210 ones and I thought they were really good. Really clear, but has a nice punch. I think it was an excellent price for the quality. They fit in my ears really well, and it doesn't have an L or R on them so you can put either bud in either ear which I thought was convenient.

The case kinda bugs me, it reminds me of a kinder surprise egg.
