Comments:Received mine around end of February 2009, the build is pretty good: the cord is cloth covered (and does seem to lessen tangles when stored in my pocket), it's black and not-cheap looking, the microphone button feels satisfactory and it does come with three size silicone tips. The sound is a bit treble-y, and there is definitely distortion when the volume is three-fourths of the maximum on the iPhone. It lacks a bit of bass, but for what you're paying, compared to what's out there it's expected.Cons: the plug is straight (like the standard apple earphones) and not L-shaped, and this creates undue pressure on the cord and plug connection, and everyone knows what happens next: output on one ear gets funny, and you do the wire-jiggling thing until it eventually fails. Minor concern: I read the other models had the microphone button lower at the point where the left and right cords meet, and this makes total sense if you like keeping your phone in your pocket and double-clicking to the next song. That might be a consideration to pay a bit more, along with a better sound, although it seems the higher models don't have the thick, cloth covered cord. End note: I've used my 100v everyday for more than two months now. I take it to the treadmill, the controls are convenient for running. I put my iPhone on the machine. It has endured that, and me putting the phone in my pocket with the plug down (pressure on the cord and plug), but alas, the right earbud is starting to show signs of failure (static, lower sound). I hope the one year warranty holds. |

Comments:I've had these for 2 weeks now and use them on a daily basis.- Sound quality is very good once you have them fit properly. - Fit is great since they give you 3 different size ear buds - Microphone quality is my only complaint. Not that it's bad, it's just not as good as I had hoped for. - Cloth wires are great. I hope they hold up! |

Comments:These worked well for about 5 weeks, then the left side started cutting out due to something going on right around where the wire goes into the plug end. If I wiggle the wire around, I can get the left side to work sometimes.Waiting on a replacement set from Ultimate Ears, so hopefully this issue won't happen again... we'll see |

Comments:the sound quality is definitely better than the headset that came with the iphone. the remote controls work very well. i love to use it. make sure to use the crrect size of the silicone buds. the only con that i can see is the danger of walking/crossing in the street with in-ear headset being a noise isolating, you may not notice if somebody wants your attention. |

Comments:Three out of three (that's 100%) UE headsets for iPhone owned by me or my friends have broken in the same way within weeks or a few months from purchase - no sound from the left bud due to some contact issue near the jack. And yes, the fault is in the headset, not iPhone. One of the faulty ones was another, more expensive model. Not recommended, at least until they come up with something that can withstand normal use on a phone. Sound quality as such is good, but I just can't tolerate the fault. |
