MY THOUGHTS SO FAR
By percy from Manchester, CT on March 22, 2010
I just received my beats by Dre. earbuds. I have a very small ear canal, so the three tips were pretty much useless to me. I changed to foam tips, and they fit perfect. As far as sound, I am still breaking them in, however i think anyone who is a "TRUE FAN" of Dre should expect heavy bass. I love them. being a fan of his music since NWA. I think it is good to know if we really want earbuds that can handle the basslines of hip hop we have an option. If you want to listen to classical, jazz, or anything besides rap and R&B these arent the ones for one my friend. Good Job Dr. Dre. I need a pair in blue to match my gear (hint-hint)
Pros:
sound is heavy in bass just like we need for hip hop. the tangle free cord is cool.
Cons:
the tips suck if you have small ear canals. need foam options
I would recommend this item to a friend.
The worst
By Mike from Stevensville, MI on June 23, 2009
Complete overload on bass sounds provides zero listening pleasure. I was completely disappointed in the quality of sound. Requires an EQ adjustment for every song. The tangle free cables are a nice feature but are too heavy. The weight only pulls the earbuds out of your ear and require constant readjustments.
Pros:
They look cool
Cons:
price, sound, tangle free cables.
Sound wise we thought that the Turbine had slightly better performance than Dr DRE's BEATS, however, the cool factor goes, hands down, to the BEATS. The flat cables are way cool and the sound didn't disappoint. All of it at a relatively affordable package. Nice accessories and good fit complete the BEATS and at less than $150, it also made our "Best Earphones" rank.
