This is a pretty durable headphone cable. They eventually lost a little sound on the left hand side, but overall they are pretty good and I am very rough on my cable.

Quality Replacement cable. Held up well with very heavy daily use. Failure was from repeated bending and snagging of the cord, not many other cords could stand this use long.

I noticed my cable had an intermittent connection on one side. It would be nuts to junk a $300 pair of earbuds for that, so I ordered this slightly shorter cable. It works fine and also reduces the excess cable that I have to manage when wearing them. Absolutely fine. No change in sound that I can detect.

I've had my Shure SE215s for over a year now and the cable still works great. One of the cables at the split has gotten a bit longer - I'm not sure if it's being stretched by how I coil it to store or from wearing it behind my back when I'm laying down - but it's not a big deal. When using my earphones, a flexible wire portion bends behind my ears and I adjust the length of the split to the nape of my neck, so it stays in place even with a lot of movement. And it's a great length, running past my waist.

I split my earphone cable while bike riding. I thought I would have to buy a whole new set of earphones as a replacement. Upon further review, I noticed the actual earphone buds were detachable. I realized I could just replace the cable and reattach the earphone buds. Not only was this less expensive but, the sound is still incredible. The whole process of ordering, making the payment and receiving the product was timely and professional. A very good experience. I will look at Earphone Solutions as my first choice from now on.

I purchased these for a backup for the Shure SE215's the cable is very stable and flexible. I use them to mostly exercise and I usually pull on the cable alot. Sometimes the cable shorts out in 12 months up by the earphone. Otherwise this product has great durability.

When I purchased the Shure 425 model headphones I received the new designed cables. I workout generally 3 or 4 days a week and got about 12 months out of the cables before I needed to purchase a replacement cable. Over all I think the sound quality and durability of the product is excellent. Pros: Sound quality and durability of the cords Cons: I only got about 12 months of use before the sound quality started to fade.

I got my Shure SE535 from my girlfriend last Christmas, it is now November and the cable is broken already. My previous headphones, 100 dollar Klipsch S4s lasted about twice as long, though treated with extreme care. I treat my SE535's terribly because the cables are replaceable. I suppose I did expect them to last a bit longer than 11 months, though given how I treat them it might be a decent lifetime. Furthermore, the ear loops that are supposed to maintain its shape (there is a wire in it so you can mold it to whatever shape you want) have lost its memory maybe 3-4 months ago. I can't bend them and expect them to stay to that shape anymore. Pros: Long life when treated with care. Long length. Replaceable, of course, which is wonderful considering the earphones they go with cost 500 dollars. Cons: Cable only 11 months life treated terribly. Ear loop memory wire only 6-7 months' life with normal use. Heavy, may be uncomfortable.

Q.

Are these cables covered in the Shure 2 year warranty?

asked by Craig Hardisty

A.
Tech Support answered:
Yes, they are.
Q.

Any hope for a 12" or shorter cable? When using a bluetooth dongle (old JVC HAW700BT or a current BlueAnt Ribbon a very short cable would be best).

asked by Keith Bierman

A.
Tech Support answered:
The shortest length available is 46".
Q.

Is the cable connector a straight connector or a 90 degree angled connector?

With the iPhone in a case, it's difficult using the 90 degree angled connectors!

asked by Michael

A.
Tech Support answered:
The Shure replacement cables come with a 90 degree connector. The use of a short extension cable generally solves this issue; the 9 inch one:
