good earphones
By Matt on May 3, 2009

Comments:

Sound quality is very good. No bass. Great price. My pair are wearing very fast. Cord extention is kind of annoying. Great noise reduction. I use them while moving the lawn. I would pay $200 for a pair.
Excellent!

I bought these earphones before and lost them. I re-bought them again as a replacement. They are the absolute best earphones ever for a reasonable price for the quality. This one is a SHURE winner!
Shure SE210-K Black Earphones

Comments:

Earphones are comfortable to wear. I do get good bass out of them using a sony walkman. Noise reduction is excellent, better than the noise reducing ones that came with the sony. Overall, I would recommend these for the price.
These are awesome!

Comments:

I purchased these to replace the earbuds that came with my iPod. I expected the Shure to have better sound quality, but these are really awesome. I listen to my music while riding noisy public transportation and the sound blocking is excellent. With the original earbuds, I increased the volume to block noise. With these, I keep the volume low and hear notes that I didn't hear previously. The bonus is that the reduced volume is saving my hearing. Although some users indicated that the bass was not sufficient, I think its fine. Also, after trying all of rubber/foam pieces that come with the Shures, the foam ones work best for me. My only regret is that I did not buy these sooner!
Great Monitors
By Rahul on February 19, 2009

Comments:

These are great monitors and I am extremely pleased. The sound quality and comfort are spectacular. The included accessories, such as the carrying case is brilliantly designed. The only knock I have is it's a little light on the base, but that is the trade off you make in single driver monitors when you get excellent mids and highs. Compared to other Shure models, the SE210 gives you the most for you're money. Overall 9.5/10.
Great sound

These are the best earphone's I've ever owned. I'm a frequent flier and had been searching for small earphones that would cut out the plane noise and these work for me.
A Nice Upgrade
By SP on February 13, 2009

Comments:

I finally upgraded to a decent pair of in ear headphones and wasn't disappointed with the SE210's. I didn't give them five stars because they were my first pair of decent headphones. There might be a better pair for the price, but these might be tough to beat.
Very Impressed
By Gavin on February 11, 2009

Comments:

I'm a bit of an audio snob, I wouldn't say I'm quite an audiophile yet, but I love the sound that these little headphones pump out. The sound blocking feature of these headphones is great, I don't know why companies bother with noise canceling when this is such a more elegant solution and produces better sound. It does take a little bit of time to squeeze the foam noise blocking portion of the headphones down and fit them into your ears, so these weren't suitable for use in my office where my boss is constantly popping in to bother me. They have been great at the gym, though, where they do a good job at staying put while blocking the terrible music that they pump out over the PA system.
perfect for gym

I bought a pair of SE210's for my wife a year ago, and she loves them with her iPod shuffle. I needed a new pair of phones for my smartphone, which I have routed through a bluetooth Jabra BT 3030, which allows you to plug any 3.5 mm phones into the small dog tag. I was skeptical about how the sound would be after suffering the losses through bluetooth, but these phones are excellent for this application. The short cord lets the bluetooth hang at a reasonable height under my shirt at the gym, and the sound isolation cuts almost all of the ambient noise and music out. I am able to hear subtle shadings of percussion and harmonies clearly, and many times can get a clear sense of spacing on the sound stage. Many other users of the Jabra BT3030 complain that the volume is too low, but the Shure SE210's are plenty loud, and remarkably clear, especially in the mid-range. Couldn't be happier with the fit and the sound.

Very Comfortable
By Matt from Austin Tx on December 8, 2008

Comments:

Pros: Extremely Comfortable, Adequate Selection of Eartips, Low Cable Noise, Clear Mids and Highs

Cons: Lows not as Clear or Pronounced, Cable without Included Extension not long enough for MP3 Players worn on the Upper Arm

Overall great value. Phones have very clear mids and highs, though the bass is a bit muddy at times but responds well to bass boost if you have it. They are very comfortable and with the broad selection of eartips included, everyone is sure to find a fit IMHO. The cable length, when not using the included extension cable, is not long enough to wear the phones with an MP3 player worn on the upper arm -- so one would have to either clip/strap the player on their chest/back or use the extension cable included. Oh, and a very nice carry case comes with the package as well to keep your phones safe. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and have no problem recommending this purchase to others - GREAT BUY!
DECENT
By Fmarino22 on September 19, 2008

Comments:

I bought these to replace a set of M-Audio IE-10 that are made by ultimate ears that are very uncofortable after a while. The M-Audio IE-10 sound much better than the Shures but the Shures are more comfortable. I will probably give these shure SE210's to one of my kids and buy the Westone UM2
Poor Bass
By Mez on November 23, 2007

Comments:

When they say the bass is 'tight', they mean there isnt much of it.
My cheapish Sennheiser's have better bass with less treble. As higher sounds are percieved as being louder this provides a great balanced sound.
The loud sharp treble on these mean i cant listed as loud as i would like. At a good bass volume, the treble KILLS my ears.

Maybe a custom EQ (damn u Alpple) would help.

Sorry, i cant recommend these. Maybe the 320's will be better.
Great Value!

Best for those looking for comfort and very good detail on mids and highs. The bass is tighter than the Shure "E" series so you will get more definition on the low end of the frequency range but it may also sound like "less bass" when playing heavier bass songs.
EXCELLENT comfort and design. If it weren't for the fact that the SE210 are slightly bigger than the more expensive earphones, the fit and comfort would be about the same as the top of the line SE530.
Best for those looking for comfort and very good detail on mids and highs. The bass is tighter than the Shure "E" series so you will get more definition on the low end of the frequency range but it may also sound like "less bass" when playing heavier bass songs.
