Shure olives
By Tony from Akron OH on October 17, 2011
Comfortable and fairly durable. Fit my ears well.
Pros:
Comfort and fit
Cons:
Durability seems less than the original silicon eartips.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Great fit
By Scott Lovering from manchester, nh on August 28, 2011
Really comfortable fit while sealing out virtually all ambient noise. Retain their shape and insert really easy
Pros:
Price
Fit
sound insulation

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Good
By Leonardo from Brazil on August 10, 2011
really comfortable, efficient to isolate sound and cheap. But it might not be as good as a mold, i guess
Pros:
cheap
comfortable
isolates more sound than silicone

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Size Counts
By Michael from Bolton, MA on June 21, 2011
I purchased a number of tips; all sizes of the comply, Olive, and silicone to find the best for my ear. This size was very comfortable for me, but some of the sound was leaking out. The large olive was the winner for me, but if this size works for you, I believe the olives are slightly better in sound isolation than the comply.
Pros:
comfortable

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Decent Foam Sleeves
By Gerald from Sanford, FL on June 7, 2011
These are decent sleeves and don't seem to soil as quick or easy as other brands of foam sleeves. Noise cancelation is great but they are not near as comfortable as the Comply foam sleeves especially after about 30 minutes of use.
Pros:
Good fit
Good noise cancelation
Durable and easy to clean
Cons:
Uncomfortable for long term use

Be carefull on the size
By Lance from Kaneohe, Hawaii on January 28, 2011
I bought a pack of the medium olives to use on my Westone UM3x. I was using the larger complys and read alot on the forums that these olives would sound nicer. After speaking to the customer service rep at Earphone Solutions decided that the mediums should be a good fit. After receiving it though, they don't squish down as far as the complys and they ended up not fitting my ear as well as the larger Complys. I find myself fiddling with them alot when I have them on trying to get a good seal. In truth it is hard for me to rate since they don't fit me well.

I may have to order a set of small ones, but they aint cheap.
Cons:
Difficult to determine the right size for those coming from Complys

Like NOT having any sleeves (Sleeveless)
By Recorder from Huntington Beach, CA. on July 28, 2010
1st of all, these foam olives arrived in a plain unmarked baggie with zero identification, so I don't even know if they are genuine Shure Foams.

I've used the yellow foamies for a couple of years with excellent results, but these olives offer absolutely minimum isolation, and very poor audio fidelity from my E3's.

I've gone back to the modded triple flanges, and haven't even opened the bag these came in since!!
Not a good buy, for sure.
Pros:
Nothing
Cons:
No isolation. Poor audio quality.
Were not delivered in genuine Shure packaging!
Who makes these?

Merchant Response:
Dear Customer,

Yes, they are genuine.

We buy the Shure eartips in bulk from Shure in packs of 1,000 and then we bread them down allowing us to offer a lower price than you would get for the small retail package.

Eartips are very personal as you are trying to match your anatomy with one of the sets. Size, shape and material will determine your preference but it's a process that requires trying due to its nature.

I get great sound with the PA910-M and my Westone 3. Although I find myself using more the ComplyTips Short.

Again, it's a personal choice.

A failed experiment with a happy ending...
By JoeyRusso from Plainsboro, NJ on June 10, 2010
I originally purchased the Shure Olives for use on my Sennheiser IE8's. Experiment #1: After removing the core I fit the Olives to my IE8's and had a listen. Unfortunately, the results weren't what I was looking for. The Olives did help with isolation, however they reduced the soundstage and had an unwanted dampening effect on the highs. A waste of time and money?? Not exactly...

At the time, I also owned a pair of Klipsch S4's. I happened to notice that the core diameter of the Olives looked like a match to the nozzle of the S4's. Experiment #2: test them on the Klipsch. I pulled out my faithful pair, removed the stock silicone tips and fit the Shures with minimal effort. I plugged them into my iPod Touch, rolled the tips and fit them in my ear canals. I could tell instantly that they sealed as well, and possibly better than my favorite oval tips. I flicked through my song list and started playing a number of my favorite songs. I immediately noticed a difference. The highs weren't as aggressive, the mids seemed more defined and the bass was still thumping as hard as ever. Some owners of the S4's have had issues with the highs being sibilant or overly aggressive, I didn't hear them that way. For me they were just a little bright with the stock tips. Now, with the Shure olives the highs seem to have balanced out nicely. The mid range is more noticeable as well, perhaps because the highs aren't as prevalent. Whatever it is, they work. They isolate well, they fit comfortably and they have really balanced the sound of my S4's. Win #1

The following week I received a pair of Etymotic ER-4P's which have a nozzle size similar to the Klipsch. I tested them on my 4P's as well.. Same great results. Win #2

All in all, I'm very satisfied with the Shure olives. They offer great comfort, superior isolation and when used properly (with the core intact), can have a minimal, but sometimes welcome, influence on the sound of your IEM's. Give them a try.
Pros:
Comfort and isolation.
Cons:
Overpriced

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Very comfortable, great durability, superb seal
By Tijl Kindt from Leiden, The Netherlands on September 8, 2009
I've been using these foams with the Westone UM1 earphones and I'm really impressed. While they are a tad bit less comfortable than the foams that come with the UM1's, they are more durable. I've been using the same pair of Shure black foams for almost 3 months now, so you can definitely do about a year with 5 pairs. The seal is very good with these, resulting in quite a few jumps when people appeared right in front of me without me hearing it!
Pros:
superb seal
great durability
very comfortable
quite cheap
Cons:
just a tad bit less comfortable than the ones that come with the UM1

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Too big
By Mitch from St. Paul, MN on July 5, 2009
I couldn't fit these black foam mediums in my ears so I can't evaluate the sound quality. I'm just glad I ordered the yellow foam ones as back-ups. Maybe the small size would fit but the black foam is denser than the yellow foam so I couldn't compress them enough to go into my ear canal.

Rock Sleeves
By Piyavong from Honolulu, Hawaii on June 7, 2009
This sleeves is Rock, support to increase the Bass Impact.
Treble also expand to the wider range stage.
Good also with my UM3X!!!

Shure
By FLACvest from USA on June 4, 2009
These are excellent for bass "blackness" with my Audeo PFE, and nice with my Sleek Audio SA-6 thought they fill the ear a bit too much with those... I may have to get the small tips for them.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Foam Sleeves
By robert leo on March 22, 2009
These are still the most comfortable sleeves I have used. I use them on Westone UM-2 and Westone 3s.

OLIVE Eartips Rock!
By Dan on March 21, 2009
I love these eartips. They don't hurt, fit well, create a good seal, feel stylish and help make great sound. They rock! I wish I had got these replacements earlier instead of putting up with eartips that didn't fit well, didn't seal the sound in and even hurt after awhile.

satisified customer
By Tony on March 16, 2009
Quality product - just as expected

The best buds
By Dave D on January 21, 2009
These are , far and away, the best sealing foam buds I've tried. I've tried many and none are as comfortable or create that bass loving seal.
