Amazing difference for picky ears
By Didi from California on September 21, 2010
I have Westone UM1s and despaired of finding an eartip that was comfortable and gave me the correct seal. The people who helped me at Earphone Solutions had recommended the Westones as the most comfortable available. Unfortunately, none of the tips that come with the Westone UM1s really worked for me. Everyone seems to love the Comply tips. I found that the short and regular foam tips were difficult to get in and horribly uncomfortable. The material seemed to scrape my skin. The "olive" style foam tips (available separately at the time) were smoother but still hard to fit.

I finally tried the silicone tips in the Shure Fit Kit and all my troubles were over. No more wrestling to get the earphones in and incredible comfort due to the extra-flexible material. The seal is good enough to block out my noisy neighbor and screaming babies on the plane. I can sleep in my headphones without a problem. If I don't want to listen to music, these are excellent earplugs. I have been using the same pair of silicone tips for over a year and they are still in good shape.

If you find that you don't like foam eartips and the flange style tips are too large, try these. I thought they were expensive but money well spent.
Pros:
Incredibly comfortable, make a good seal for the best sound, easy to insert.
Cons:
Expensive for what you get, but worth it to find the right type and size.

I would recommend this item to a friend.
