A lot of research led me to the RS-180, but I wasnt prepared to cough up close to $600 Australian. I had little choice but to shop offshore, and saved around 50% including fast shipping. Having had them for just 4days as I type this I have them plugged into a DAB Plus radio and am not disapointed. They work really well when used in my 'not inexpensive' stereo system, no matter if the source be LP records or CD's the result is crystal clear and of course wireless so I can move around the house or garden and still enjoy my music. Pros: Build quality is really nice. Sound quality is better than I thought it would be. Simple to setup and use. Cons: Not that I use them but the control buttons on the unit are very small and could be difficult to use without taking it off your head.

I had been using wired earbuds to avoid disturbing others. This was OK as long as you didn't need to go for a beer. So I bought a Sony wireless without doing any research. Bad idea. Money wasted. Then I did the research of reviews and bought the Sennheiser RS180. The reviews were good and the technology looked good. It is better than I had ever imagined. I do have a high quality stereo system but I am hearing things through the RS180 such as a 3rd harmonic flute that gets lost when listening to the stereo. A great system but it does tend to make your ears warm. I live in Canada so that may be OK in the winter. BTW, this same system would have cost me $550 in Canada. I saved over 60% by ordering from Earphone Solutions. Thanks Pros: No hiss and pop. Great bass. Good range inside the home. Cons: Short range outside the home. Makes your ears hot

Initially when i picked these up, I was skeptical about it due to the price tag and I hadn't heard anything about the site. I basically said "screw it" and placed my order, getting them in the mail a little over a week later and having friends criticize me for paying $360 for headphones after shipping and handling. Needless to say, I'm nothing less than impressed with the headphones since i got them about 8 months ago. One of my friends are now strongly considering buying a pair for himself since you can sync up multiple pairs to one receiver. There is NO STATIC, NONE! When i first turned them on, i was getting frustrated "Why is there no sound?", making me turn up the volume and pressed play on iTunes, scaring the shit out of me after finding out they've been on all along, and you just can't hear feedback while it's scanning for sound. The battery life is unbelievable, Sennheiser's website states "24 hours" and it's nothing short of that. With the recent expansion to World of Warcraft being released, i was basically forced to sit at my desk for close to a full day, and never once having to charge them until i walked away. The biggest concern i have buying headphones is comfort, above everything else. These are extremely light for wireless headphones, they weigh only 209 grams, that's less than a can of coke. The ear muffs and support cushions are made of felt as opposed to shitty plastic/leather that most use, so they don't heat up. You'll forget you're wearing them. The range is fantastic, I live in a 4 story house in the first floor basement, I can go from the bottom level basement to the top floor of the house with perfect clarity, with MINOR problems with reception. The nice thing with the headphones is when they're cutting out (they're amazing but they're still wireless, it's going to happen), the signal drops for maybe half a second, and then cuts back in. Significantly better than my last pair of RS-120's. $360 and this is definitely not a purchase i regret. Would recommend to anyone. Pros: -Light, Extremely Comfortable -Amazing Sound, BETTER than wired (try a pair at Target or something) -Countless hours of battery life -NO STATIC/FEEDBACK -EVER- -Receiver supports up to 4 additional headphoes on the receiver (RS 160,170,180 can all benefit from this) -Easy setup -All around excellent Cons: -Price, but you get what you pay for.

Customer service was very prompt in getting back to me. They did match the lower price offered elsewhere. This was a gift for my son-in-law. He was very satisfied with the sound quality, and wirelessness ( no wire mess). He works late at night at a desk. According to him he does not have to take them off to go to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee, the quality of sound/ reception in the kitchen is very good. He loves the system. Pros: as above no wires no mess and do not have to take them off excellent sound /reception Cons: none

Q.

Tech Support answered:
No. These need to have the receiver plugged into a full size source.
Q.

Do you do a combo for one RS-180 et one HDR-180 with two charder include?

asked by Jean-Louis Roy

A.
Tech Support answered:
Not at the moment.
Q.

I am looking for a wireless headphone that can be used by someone who uses hearing aids and is also able to be used with an iPhone 4S. Does this item meet those requirements?

asked by Jane

A.
Tech Support answered:
It will work for someone using a hearing aid however it will not work for iPhone use because the transmitter (unit that you connect to the source: stereo sound system, TV, etc.) is quite bulky to be used with an iPhone plus it requires an outlet for power.
Q.

Is there any differences between model RS180 and HRD 180. I try to connect the headset to the TV but there is no sound. Is it that the headset battery is weak. Hoping to get advices from you. My Headphone System is HRD 180.
Thank you.

asked by Sum Kok Tuck

A.
Tech Support answered:
The HDR180 is the headphone part of the RS180 system. The RS180 comes with the HDR180 + the transmitter unit that connects to the TV or sound system. The batteries should definitely be checked before anything else.
Q.

I am considering purchasing this for my elderly father who cannot hear well. He would like to watch TV with us. When this is plugged into the TV, will it completely silence the TV sound? We would all like to be in the same room watching but he needs the TV sound substantially higher than the rest of the family.

asked by Jean

A.
Tech Support answered:
It all depends on the source. Some TV sets will have the connector with a picture of a headphone. This will automatically shut off the TV speakers. If the TV offers a red and white connector then the speakers will work even if the headphones are plugged into it.
Q.

How simple is it to connect to a flat screen plazma Panasonic?

asked by john

A.
Tech Support answered:
The unit comes with detailed instructions on how to connect the base to the TV set - it is pretty straight forward. If for trouble installing it, you can always contact Sennheiser's tech support for further assistance at 1-860-434-9190
Q.

I am looking for a wireless headphone that can be used by someone who constantly listens to music and watches movies from an iMac desktop computer and is also able to be used for gaming at times. Does this item meet those requirements?

asked by Max

A.
Tech Support answered:
The base needs to be connected to the source of the sound - usually the TV. Gammers will be able to hear what's playing on TV but will not have a mic to interact with other players online. It also works with your computer.
Q.

How do you do the setup for four listeners? Can you get the sets individually or do you have to purchase 4 systems?

asked by Bob White

A.
Tech Support answered:
Dear Bob,

It is possible to have up to four headphones listening to the same source. You can purchase only one system and 3 extra headphones separately however, Sennheiser recommends that you acquire the 4 full systems so each headphone will have their own charging dock. Price for the headphones alone is $129.95.
