better than Bose by far...
By Tim from Atlanta on August 14, 2011

I have owned Bose headphones for some time, but continued to have problems that were always answered with a need for a design change from Bose. I decided to go with another manufacturer and chose Klipsch based on the CNET review. These headphones sound superior to the Bose in every way, from the bass and treble clarity and balance to the noise canceling feature which I didnt know would be so significant. In addition, the customer service from Earphone Solutions was amazing and delivery was quick- I am completely satisfied!
I would recommend this item to a friend.

Very comfortable earbuds. The sound is very good for the money. I compared these to a pair of Bose earbuds. The Bose have much deeper lows. Its hard to beat Bose but of course Bose are more money. I've very happy with these Klipsch earbuds.
Pros:
Comfort and costCons:
Nothing...I think dollar for dollar these are the best earbuds on the market.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Disappointing
By James from Houston, Texas on June 28, 2011

I was shocked at how poor the sound quality was. I was expecting a higher level of performance from a product from Kilpsch which has a good reputation. Unfortuntely this product's performance was much less than I expected.
Pros:
NothingCons:
Sound quality was not that good. I was very disappointed with the sonic levels. I have a cheaper pair of ear buds that are vastly superior.Merchant Response:
Hi James,
Make sure you're getting a good seal by using the best size of eartips for your ear canal.
Thanks!Great Buy

Best value on the market
By Brent from Memphis on June 22, 2011

These ear buds have the best sound quality, range and comfort of any I've tried. They also fit great under my motorcycle helmet. The unique shape provides an excellent seal and amazing sound. I'm buying 2 more sets as gifts for my kids.
Pros:
Killer sound quality and range
Excellent fit and sealCons:
Nothing.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Junk

Extremely poor sound quality. Never even used them. Put away & ordered a pair from Bose. Complete waste of money!

James,
Thanks for your feedback.
I noticed you just received your order.
These are best-sellers across the country on every Apple Store, however, like other higher-end in-ear earphones, they need a good seal to sound what they are supposed to. Bose's dynamic drivers will sound good out of the box but nowhere near as detailed as these will once you give them at least 5 days.
You need to spend time with the eartips and find the "right" set for your anatomy. That takes a while. Out of the box simply does not work.
We're sorry you didn't have a chance to given them the time they need.
Thanks for your review.Amazing in-ear earphones
By Calvin from Hong Kong on June 16, 2011

They are one of the best earphones at its price range, with reasonably awesome deep base, good noise isolation and clear sound for those who are not huge audiophiles out there who are very sensitive about the high's and lows these would definitely be a recommended product for you to use.
Although, everything sounds fantastic, you might not always find eartips that fit you, it takes some time trying to see which ones actually fit your ears, and there arent any replacements for the eartips if you mistakenly drop one silicon eartip on the floor.
so sound experience could differ to different people depending on the great fit they get which these earphones.
Also I've been using it for around a year now and I'm not actually that careful with my possession so it was chucked around, thrown in the washing machine a few times but the wire seems quite durable, and I was quite amazed to hear that its still working. I definitely recommend this to people who don't want too expensive earphones but want a reasonable experience with their music.
Pros:
Bass
Lightweight
Noise isolation
Clear
Cons:
tin case
limited number of ear tips
muddy high'sI would recommend this item to a friend.
Powerful and detailed sound
By Carlos Martin from Buenos Aires on May 2, 2011

I just bought this pair of Klipsch S4 today nad well, all I can say is they deliver a great, powerfull and rich sound.
I like DEEP-BASS earphones (I have the Audio-Technica ATH-CKS70 which is a rock-star for me) but this one is as high as the Audio-technica.
The volume is also great, and in my Blackberry Torch they sound aewsome.
The highs may sound a little bit distorted, but is great anyway.
My very first Klipsch experience is beyond my expectations. :)
Pros:
Great rich, powerfull and detailed sound.
Thou small to me, they fit without any problem.Cons:
Too small to me at least.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Great sound; light weight; needs better packaging
By Max from Charlotte, NC on April 24, 2011

Bought these for my son for use with his iPhone. Sound compares favorably to my more expensive Shure phones. Very light weight and comfortable. Needs a better carrying case than the cheap "tin" container that ships with these.
Pros:
Light weight
Comfort
Sound stageCons:
Cheap "tin" carrying caseI would recommend this item to a friend.
Outstanding Value!

I use my S4s for jogging - the sound is incredible, the ear buds are comfortable and stable (they stay in nicely). The S 4 Image is a great solution and a tremendous value.
Pros:
Great sound, great comfort, great stabilityCons:
So far, no feature has been a takeaway!I would recommend this item to a friend.
Awsome Fit.
By JH from Illinois on March 24, 2011

These were purchased for my wife who says they are awsome. The oval earplugs live up to the billing for fitting well.
Pros:
The fit.Cons:
I still do not like the over the ear cord routing.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Best earphone for the money
By Kelly from Spokane wa. on February 8, 2011

Yes there are some better but not within $50.
These have great sound & durability.
I use them 3-4 hours a day for the last 4 months without a problem!!
Pros:
I use them @ my desk & the chrome will create a static shock when you move your feet!
Earbuds shouldn't have chrome/metal on the outside.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Merchant Response:
Excellent feedback about the chrome/metal.
Thanks Kelly!Hard to find a better deal for the money
By Lance from Kaneohe, Hawaii on January 28, 2011

I bought a pair for my wife for x-mas. These sound great for the price, but if you can afford more, there are better sounding earphones out there in the $200 range that are better balanced.
The bass on these things are almost too much. It sounds great with Hip Hop and rap, but it intrudes on pieces with more vocals or softer sounding pieces.
Pros:
great value.Cons:
Bass very boomy for music genresI would recommend this item to a friend.
S4 Image Sound Quality:
By Larry Mathews from Salem, NH on December 27, 2010

I have gone through 4 types of earbuds before I ran across Klipsch earbuds. I have had Apple (worst), Scosche (very good but fragile), Bose (very good but loss of left ear sound), and Shure (very durable and very good sound). I don't spend over $100 for earbuds as they will never match the quality of a great pair of head phones. So then I went to Best Buy and saw Klipsch S4 Image earbuds/headphones as they are called. What a Excellent sound quality they have. Great base, great mid range and very comfortable in your ears. Best choice for under $100. I've used these mowing the lawn, working out, raking the leaves and in the blizzard of 2010 while snow throwing. What can I say, "EXCELLENT".
Pros:
Ear fit and sound quality. very durable.Cons:
Wires get tangled sometimes and and ear buds sometimes fall off.I would recommend this item to a friend.
Merchant Response:
Thanks Larry.
"I don't spend over $100 for earbuds as they will never match the quality of a great pair of head phones."
I own earphones that outperform $600 full-size headphones, but they are expensive as well. If you try the Westone 3 or the Shure SE535 you will be surprised on how much better they can sound than a full size can that cost more than that. The immersive sound delivered by balanced armature drivers is an experience that surprises the most critical audiophiles.
Dollar for dollar, high-end balanced armature drivers will outperform full size headphones and the comfort and portability can't be matched.
Thanks for the review!Decent
By Austin from Kansas City, Kansas on December 18, 2010

These headphones are/ have been extremely hyped. I was really excited to listen to them, but when I did, I couldn't help but feel disappointed. Sure they had nice bass, but there just wasn't the clarity in the mids and highs that I expected. I don't know if myabe I got a bad pair or what, but even with a good seal the detail just wasn't there. They aren't bad if you like a lot of bass and aren't really into clarity, but if you are looking for headphones that are good for vocals, look elsewhere.
Pros:
Comfortable
Deep, solid bass
Exterior looks great
Cons:
No clarityIt's not bad.
By Audrey yap from Singapore on November 5, 2010

I'm a singer and I go for overall sound quality. It's not bad but I'd prefer more bass and punchiness in the sound. Also, if im being picky, the music sounds a lil muffled with this set of earphones. Overall, I'd prefer clearer sound and of cos more bass..
Pros:
Earbuds are comfortable.Cons:
Not enough bass and clarity.I would recommend this item to a friend.
dig em - clear and accurate sound
By bennett from sf ca on September 30, 2010

had these for a about 8 months - had a small problem with the cable on my first pair - called Klipsch and they told me to march on back to vendor (not Earphone Solutions) and get another pair. no muss no fuss - no 'send em back to us and in 4-6 weeks blah blah' - just go get yourself another pair.
The other vendor Customer Service was none too happy and didn't want to do it. had them call Klipsch who told them 'just do it'.
moral: great customer service
