Headphones sound great, but controlTalk is delicate.
By Sameer from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates on December 19, 2010

I received my headphones a few weeks ago. I've never been too fond of Monster's tips so I immediately replaced them with Comply Foam ones and plugged the set into my iPhone. It took a few minutes to get myself adjusted to the sound (as it is with any new headset - the sound needs to "register" with your brain before you can appreciate it).
I have to admit that unfortunately, these are the best sounding earphones I've ever had!
The trouble started a few moments later, when I tried to make sure all the functions on the ControlTalk were working - they weren't.
The center button to switch between calls and music, skip tracks etc seemed to be working fine, as did the volume increase button. However, on that first try, the volume Down button wasn't working.
The build of the ControlTalk doesn't hold up against the quality of the sound. It simply isn't as well thought out as the ones on the Dre Tour headset. For one, it's tiny and "diamond" shaped, which forces you to fumble about for the right position before you can successfully click anything. The build is delicate and feels very plastic - I can understand why mine was damaged from the moment I received it (likely in transit).
Today, volume control is completely inconsistent. both Up and Down sometimes work and sometimes do not. Sometimes the Up works while the Down doesn't, and sometimes it is the reverse. If you are the type of person that can convince your self that there is any entertainment value to frustration, then this is the right head set for you - you will always have great sound, with the added element of surprise on how much of it you can hear!
Having been told by Earphone solutions that I would need to contact Monster Directly (since they did not have a spare set to replace mine with), and with no response coming forth from Monster, it appears that support for this is about non-existent. I will likely never be buying anything from either vendor again.
Pros:
Sound is outstandingCons:
Durability and support are lousy.Merchant Response:
Sameer, we apologize for the inconvenience.
