Image X10i Headphones
Inspire envy with Klipsch's flagship Image X10i headset. Among the world's smallest, lightest in-ear headphone designs, it employs a wealth of micro technology for comfortable wear and audiophile-quality listening. Plus, it includes an advanced mic and 3-button remote for taking calls and controlling the music content on your iPod, iPod touch or iPhone 3GS.
- Full music and/or voice control on select products*
- Award-winning sound performance
- Patented oval ear tips for unbeatable comfort
- 360 mic enables highly intelligible phone calls
- Superior noise isolation
- Amazing bass response
- Durable cables with built-in strain relief
Based on our highly acclaimed Image X10 headphones, the X10i offers the absolute best in style, sound comfort and fit. It caters to discriminating, on-the-go listeners who are constantly playing music and taking phone calls.
The X10i positions its in-line microphone and remote at the yoke - where the two cables meet at chest level - to create a more natural feel when answering calls and controlling music.
Because the microphone is a highly intelligible 360 design, you don't have to talk down into it or hold it close to your mouth. The microphone also features echo cancellation, which keeps it from picking up surrounding noise, so you'll always be heard crystal clear.
Luxurious Comfort
It doesn't matter how great a pair of headphones sound if they are painful to wear. Unlike traditional, circular-shaped ear tips that put stress on the pressure points inside your ear, the X10i utilizes patented oval ear tips that naturally fit the shape of your ear canals, making them extremely comfortable and virtually impossible to feel.
Additionally, these exclusive ear tips produce a perfect acoustic seal, which minimizes outside noise so you can enjoy your music at lower, safer volumes.
Magnificent Sound
Inside each ear piece, which is made of machined aluminum and finished in anodized copper, you'll find an exclusive full-range armature micro-speaker with a tuned bass-reflex system that delivers lifelike dynamics, sonic clarity and booming bass.
Please be aware that the X10i is not for casual listening. If you rip your digital music files using a poor compression format and low bit rate, this high-resolution Klipsch headset will uncover all the flaws in your content.
Additional Perks
The Image X10i comes with a 2-year warranty and includes 5 pairs of different-sized ear tips, an ear tip cleaning tool, an airplane adaptor, a 1/4 inch jack adaptor, a protective carrying pouch as well as a clothing clip.
* Compatibility
While the Image X10i serves as a pair of premium headphones for any device with a 3.5 mm headphone jack, its mic and remote system handles the music and/or voice control of the following Apple products: iPhone 3GS, third generation iPod shuffle, second generation iPod touch, fourth and fifth generation iPod nano models and the iPod classic 120GB.
If you have an iPod touch or iPhone and Wi-Fi access, you can also use the Image X10i with VOIP (need an adapter for PC or Mac), Skype and iChat.

Good sound, great looks - but expensive for what it offers
By Bruno from Sao Paulo, Brazil on October 13, 2011

If you are style-conscious, these are your high-end headphones. They look great and almost disappear in your ears. The cable does not go over the ear like in other phones (ie Triple.Fi, Westone 3), so you will not look like a headphone geek. The inline remote is very convenient. As for the tips... Klipsch has really done something clever here - they're oval, like your ear canal, very easy to insert and have a great seal. But they do hurt a little after half an hour or so, especially with the dual-flange tips (that provide the best sound). Sound quality is very good, but definitely not comparable to the 3-driver phones from Westone and UE - that cost the same, or less.
Pros:
- great looks.Cons:
- price
- does not work with AndroidI would recommend this item to a friend.
The Best Around
By Alan from Atlanta, GA on March 9, 2011

I wear them daily and love them. Blows away my Bose IE2 in comfort and sound. Neck and neck with my 500 series Shure's.
Pros:
Very comfortable. I can sleep on a pillow on my side in a plane and fall to sleep with my favorite sleeping music, and I am not bothered by the cabin noise. Great Detail, Bass and Highs. Perfect for noisy environments.
My iPhone 4 loves them. Cons:
Quality of construction should be better at this price.
I wish I could call back my last number without having to take my iPhone 4 out of its pouch.I would recommend this item to a friend.
All that glitters is not gold !
By Christos from Athens, Greece on October 20, 2010

The earphones are not comfortable at all... After 10 to 20 minutes they started being annoying and actually made my ears pain really bad... I tried all alternative ear tips but only the larger one isolated the noise. After a while the pain was unbearable. OK, I will accept that in my case my ears' anatomy might be the problem and not the actual earphones.
However, there are even more problems with these earphones...
The bass was barely acceptable for such an expensive set of earphones. If you are asking me there is nothing close to magic here. The bass is very very weak.
Also, there is nowhere written on the box that the product you are about to buy might not be fully functional attached on 3G iPhones!!! In fact they have a label saying that it works with 3G iPhone. That is ridiculous and misleading. If you read the company's FAQ's however you will discover that they are aware that the sound levelers won't work with 3G iPhones. That leads me to the conclusion that the company intentionally hidden that information from the buyer...
The build construction seams to be very solid as far as it concerns the earphone. The wire however looks and feels very frigging.
Pros:
Robust earphonesCons:
Fragile wires
moderate bass rendition
uncomfortable
misleading box information
sound levelers won't work with 3G iPhoneMerchant Response:
Dear Christos,
Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. The iPhone we tested them with, the volume control worked. There shouldn't be any difference in the functionality of the volume control between 3G and 3GS but we will double check this information with Klipsch.
As for the bass, as with every balanced armature driver, you need a perfect seal in order to get the bass the earphones are capable of. Since you are not getting a good fit with them, we think that perhaps you are not getting a good seal.
At any rate please send us an email and we will be glad to help you. Thanks!Comfortable in-ear headphone ever!

Merchant Response:
Thanks Terrence for the review.
The new Image X10i iPhone and iPod headphones deliver incredible clarity and the inline volume control is the most "finger friendly" control. Period. They designed it not to look good but to feel right to the human hand. The placement of the control is also straight forward, no non-sense, correct place to have it: hanging down on your chest. The buttons are nice and large enough that you don't need to "see" what you are pressing. You simply feel it.
