The iPhone headsets we tested were all compatible with the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS. These iPhone earphones were tested for voice clarity, comfort, fit, music playback clarity, functionality of the inline control and microphone quality.

In the higher end of the market, we loved the Shure SE535 with the 3 button cable also made by Shure. The Shure SE425 at $299 is a more affordable version of the top of the line SE535. It's a dual driver with a minuscule earpiece and the best 3 button control we tested. And of course with Shure's new outstanding replaceable cables. In the mid range, we thought the Audeo PFE 122 Earphones by Phonak were the best performer for the buck under $200. In the budget option we were quite surprised with the new Shure SE215 at only $148, fully functional and compatible with the iPhone 4, this headset had great sound quality and a full 3 button control approved by Apple and super comfortable. The dynamic drivers on these can move a ton of air. What that means? Tons of BASS.
