"I will never buy headphones over $100..."
On a recent trip to Toronto I met a guy at a winery. His name was Rick. We started talking about our jobs. I told him we operated an ecommerce website that sells high-end in-ear headphones. I told him that some could cost over $500 but, that he could get a huge improvement from his MP3 player stock earbuds spending a little bit over $100 and sometimes even $50.
He acted surprised and said he didn't even know there were headphones (earbuds) over $100.
He said: "I will never buy headphones over $100"I asked him if he had an iPod and he told me he owned an iPod Nano. He went on to tell me that he buys $20 earbuds. He also told me that
he does so every 2 months or so because the cables break and one of the earpieces always go bad.
I told him that he was actually spending $120 a year for cheap earbuds.
That's $240 every 2 years!I told him about the
Shure SE215 for example, that cost $99. Comfort, fit, cable design and most importantly SOUND QUALITY is far superior to the $20 earbuds he used to buy. And, best of all, they come with a
2 Year Warranty.

Meaning: if they ever go bad (short of you running them over with your SUV, your dog chewing them up,...), all you do is call a toll free 800 number and the earphones will be replaced or repaired
at no charge for
2 full years.
So I asked him which was cheaper?
$240 every 2 years for cheapo $20 earbuds or $99 for a high-end in-ear headphones with replaceable cables guaranteed for 2 YEARS?Rick thanked me and asked for the website address :)
