The Best iPhone headphone for the money.
By Thanarath C. from Anaheim, CA. on February 28, 2012
I bought this headphone for my iPhone 4 on December 2010. I like the black color instead of typical white iPhone headset. I scan thru the Google and found the best price plus free second day shipping so I bought and received it within two days (Thanks EarphoneSolution). The cable is long and stiff during the cold weather. The microphone is pick up my voice just fine. All of the buttons are working with the iPhone 4 as designed. The overall sound is exceptional when I compared it to Sony MDR-7506 headphone. I like it more here is why: one day I left it in my Jacket's pocket and I forgot to remove it before washing. It went in the washing machine until it completed its cycle. Luckily my wife found it before putting the jacket into the dryer. I left the headphone sit a full day to make sure it dry before I test it. When I test it, it is still working just fine. It is amazing story for me. I am using this headphone every day.
Pros:
All buttons are working just like OEM iPhone headset with much better sound quality. It is black, unlike typical white iPhone headset. It survived the washing machine tested (Please do not try that at home).
Cons:
Denon could use a softer (rubber) cable.

Delivers More than Expected
By Huiling from Singapore on December 5, 2010
This pair of earphones was bought specifically for use with my iPhone. It delivers the sounds with clarity and the bass delivery was good as well. Although the cord is a tad bit long for me, I like that it's thick and should be able to last longer than earphones from other brands - my old Sennheisers didn't last more than a year with me due to a broken covering of the wire. I would have preferred for the Denon AHC560R to have the mic placed higher along ther cord rather than its current midway down the torso position, then I wouldn't even need the additional clip to hold it in place on the collar.
Overall, I love the sound delivered through its minute speakers. And the earphones case that came along with it is great for keeping my stuff neat and tidy. =)

Excellent earphones
By Azmi from Colorado Springs on December 5, 2010
I recently purchased this Denon AHC560R and the S4i Image by Klipcsh. The later was good but the Denon was quite superior. It has an excellent balance between the bass and the trebble. I was quite surprised with the Denon since it had no previous reviews. I am very happy that I decided to get it. I would strongly recommend it.

Nice Sound
By Sal from Rochester, NY on May 24, 2012
Haven't had these long so hope the quality and wires last a long time because the sound is very nice and they are comfortable in my ears. Better bass than the Shure model I tried - balance of sound works well for me. Case could be a little bigger so I would not be tempted to bend the wires to fit - may not use it so I will not take a chance on breaking those wires. There are warnings about taking care not to bend but that was nearly impossible just trying to remove them from the packaging.
Pros:
Sound
Comfortable fit
Sound adjustment
Cons:
Small case
Packaging they came in

Clean sounding fun headphone
By DWeaver from Calgary, AB, Canada on February 4, 2011
I bought the 560R in the hopes of getting a sound similar to my Denon AH-D7000 and for the most part have been satisfied with the result..
Bass - This is usually a strong suit in most Denon headphones and IEM's and for the most part is with the 560R as well. It reaches down as low as 15hz and has a nice rumble to it. The only weakness is a lack of punch to the bass so may not be a great choice for anything requires precise beats. On the flip side the warm rich bass is very good for genres where bass is more texture than heavy beat.
Midrange - The midrange is ever so slightly recessed (or more to the point not as forward as the bass and treble) but very clean and slightly cold but full and nicely detailed. I found myself wishing it had a bit more bite but also never had any fatigue issues.
Treble - The treble is very good on this IEM, it's best feature in my opinion. Being very clear and detailed with a nice extension to it and very nice cymbal reproduction without ever coming across as hot or overly bright and no sibilance.
The sound stage on these is also above average for an IEM not as big as some of the big dogs in the IEM world but much better than alot of IEM.s and it does this without having a cavern type effect.
The overal signature is classic Denon and achieves almost as full a sound as the D7000 with just a bit less bass (punch) and slightly less midrange and treble. If your looking for an equal to your D7000 this won't do it. If your looking for a reasonably priced portable alternative to the D7000 that has a similar signature then give these a try.
As for construction I like the design of the IEM alot but find the cable is a bit awkward and thick. I live in Canada and found the cable very stiff in cold weather. These are a VERY COMFORTABLE IEM though which is a positive. I also liked the tips and the case (nice hard cloth case).
One final comment. These need a good 100 hours to sound their best with a period around 20-40hrs where they can start to sound very flat as the bass break in unlike some IEM's that sound overly punchy at that point. You need to either have patience during this time or let them play music at night at slightly louder than normal listening volumes to help them break in faster.
Pros:
Sharp detail treble but not sibilant.
Able to reach very low level of bass.
No area comes across as wrong.
Very relaxing yet detailed IEM.
Seems well built, iPhone buttons work well.
Cons:
Bass could stand a bit more punch.
Midrange could be a smidge more forward and detailed.
Treble could be a smidge sharper.
Cable is awkward and a bit stiff.

Good headphones, but terrible microphone
By Kirill from Vancouver, Canada on December 28, 2010
Sound is ok, but microphone is awful, nobody can hear me. going to buy smth else because of this.
Pros:
sound
controls
Cons:
microphone
Merchant Response:
It's really hard to isolate the fault to the microphone because there are so many variables at play here: reception of the other caller, speaker of the other caller, your reception, wind, background noise, etc.
Thanks for your review!
