Overview

CX300-II Earbuds Sennheiser

Pros: Great bass for such a small unit. Packaging and carrying case are well designed. Cons: Ho-hum sound considering how much they cost and when compared to similarly priced units. The Sennheiser CX300 are decent earbuds, but fall a bit short in performance when compared to units costing around the same price (the Denon AH-C360 comes to mind.). Not a bad choice for true Sennheiser fans. Non-fans will probably enjoy the Denon set better. Offering a powerful, bass-driven stereo sound with greater clarity and improved dynamics are the CX300-II Precision Black ear-canal phones. The various sizes of ear adapters (S/M/L sizes) provided in the package allow for a personalized fit as well as a high passive attenuation of ambient noise. Also, the asymmetrical cable design ensures a high wearing comfort as you listen on the go.

My CX300II went through the washing machine along with my iPod. CX300II Survived, iPod didn't.

The CX300II went through my washing machine with my iPod nano. After one full wash cycle and a turbo spin dry, the CX300II came out unscathed, sounded great as if they were brand new. The iPod however, received massive denting and peeling of the aluminum enclosure from the spin dry. I guess the Sennheiser CX300II is machine washable. After this experience, I'm definitely buying another set of Sennheisers, if and when these do die on me. So far.. 2.5 years and they still sound perfect. Pros: Machine washable Good sounds Real noise cancelling Cons:

The overriding reason why I purchased this model is the size. Unlike other noise blocking earbuds, these do not have large protrusions that stick out of the ear and it's possible to roll one's head to one side to sleep without knocking them out of the ear. The sound is very nice and they fit in nicely to block outside noises but that's the overriding reason to have these. Pros: Small to fit completely in the ear. Nice sound, good bass good efficiency Good noise blocking Cons: Chord tangles easily chord transmits sound when touched to once they are set try to leave the chord alone.

Though I'm no audiophile I appreciate good quality sound. These earbuds provide awesome waves for the price. I download music at only the highest quality and having these earbuds take full advantage of that. Great balance of highs and lows, very clear. Noise canceling is great. Outside noises are barely audible with these babies in. Quality cable and buds. Pros: Cons:

Couldn't hear a difference between these & CX300's (both were great!)

I auditioned them out of curiousity, as I have a pair of CX300's. Personally, in the informal comparison (relatively noisy environment) I didn't hear a difference - they both sound very nice for the price. Recommended as a great pair of easy-to-stash, walking-around-town pair, when you don't want to wear a pair of cans or anything terribly expensive. Pros: - Great sound & range - Decent details - 3 sizes of pads - Good noise reduction due to fit Cons: - Small sound stage - Not comfy for very long periods

I like these - the cord is silky smooth, the buds stay in my ears (I like the medium size bud), they block out noise a reasonable amount, and sound fantastic. worth the 60 bux or so. and they are real, not cheap from China. There are cheap versions out there that arent true Sennheiser, watch out. Pros: Cons:
