Before we settled on these headphones, because of the investment, we tried many others that were recommended as being the best....BUT NOTHING CAN COMPARE TO THIS PRODUCT!! NOTHING. The bass is awesome and if you like classical they are still the clearest sounding experience you can have. I am 63 and been around while the industry has evolved. Music is my passion and I thought nothing could compare to the Bose or Klipsh (?) and Sennheiser is good too...but I will NEVER buy anything BUT the DR DRE "BEATS" studio headphones. Even all my friends who criticized me because of the price, once they put them on their eyes got huge and they just yelled WOW! LOL! All agreed I had made a good choice. However the only drawback is: You may need more than one pair! Once you let anyone hear music thru these you have a hard time getting them back!

Very stylish headphones, authentic and very high quality. The sound fedelity is very great, you get to hear the most quite in the background instrumental when putting it on. It is best suited with Hip Hop, RnB and Bass music. But at the same time it is still very good with Jazz, blue and others type of music.
The price is slightly high but it is quite worth it.
If you want a good headphones then buy the Studio because it has noise cancelling and amplifier built in the headphones. If you want something cheaper then get a SOLO HD. You are paying for what you'll get.

Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately Bluetooth bandwidth does not allow to a high quality sound experience. The technologies that allow for a wider bandwidth are still very expensive but we should see that change in the next few years.

In my opinion the Beats headphones are over priced. They sound a bit muddy, with the bass overpowering the high and mids. That said, if these headphones were $200, they would be a much better buy. I listen to rock so this became a problem but the headphones do sound great for rap or hip hop. If you mostly listen to rap or hip hop definitely consider these headphones, as they have GREAT bass. If your all about good looking headphones too you cant go wrong with the Beats. They are extremely stylish and super cool looking. They are also very comfortable.

i've had these for a couple months now they sound really nice it's also a huge fashion figure in the music industry and my fiends say hey i saw that in this music video etc. You can wear these for a long period of time unlike some other head phones, there is some distortion in some high bass songs nothing to worry about but these head phones are like subwoofers they are so loud you can use them as speakers. There isn't one person in the world who has put mine on there head and not been amazed even my teachers. Don't believe the reviews because of the price they are are worth every penny but if you don't like bass go sennheiser. but senns won't impress no one that is all.

Dev, some EQ settings on the iPod will cause the sound to distort as the drivers are very efficient and sensitive. You may try turning the EQ off and see if the distortion goes away.
